I grew up in Morro Bay and lived there most of my life. I graduated from Morro Bay High School and then attended Cal Poly, majoring in Business.
I learned the value of patience and hard work from my parents. They never handed me anything. If I wanted something (like a stereo or a new bike) I had to work for it and save my money. I was so excited and proud when I was able to buy a new bike after saving for a long time (and they did help me out!).
The most interesting job I have ever had is working in a yarn store. As a knitter and yarn addict, this was the ultimate dream job for me. I loved being surrounded by all of the beautiful colors and textures. I was able to play with–and be inspired by– yarn all day long! Someday I would like to create my own line of hand-dyed yarn.
I have knitting friends that I like to spend time with. I also like to go to the movies and take my dog, Toby, for a walk. I enjoy books, art, health, and nutrition. I would like to take a road trip across the country. My other travel dream is to visit Italy and see the art and architecture in Rome and Florence.
My life motto is “If you fall off the horse, get right back on.”
