At the end of West Grand Avenue, you can drive your vehicle on the beach to explore an off-road area among the most popular and unique of California State Parks. The 5.5 miles of beach open for vehicle use–and the sand dunes available for off-highway motor vehicle recreation–are attractions for visitors and locals alike.  Park your car in the evening along the beach for an impromptu sunset viewing without even stepping out of your car.
