“Coffee with a Cop” conversations have begun. The Sheriff’s Community Resource Deputies for the Chumash Reservation and the City of Solvang have joined forces to hold a series of Coffee with a Cop events in the Santa Ynez Valley. These events provide the community an opportunity to meet the deputies and talk about concerns that affect them individually or the Valley as a whole, over a cup of coffee. Start jotting down your concerns and mark your calendar to attend one of these community events.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder.
Once you pick up your passport at your check in winery, you’re free to explore the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail and “spend” your 20, 1 oz pours of wine at any of our 13 participating wineries. Your goody bag also includes a special gift from us.
Our two annual weekend events include tasty treats at each winery on Saturday, and on Sunday expect Library tastings, live music, more treats, food trucks and more! Add exclusive wine discounts and special room rates with local hotels and you have no reason to not spend a weekend in wine country!
SNACK SATURDAY – When you politely flash your passport at each winery you visit, you’ll be rewarded with a snack to go with your 1oz pour. Anticipate snacks like two handmade truffles from Santa Barbara chocolatier Jessica Foster; something sinfully delicious from a local, family-owned bakery; One Perfect Taco from the taco truck no one can ever remember the name of and so much more.
SUNDAY FUNDAY – As the name suggests, Sunday is for fun. Seize this opportunity to purchase some ultra-rare-vintages; get Zen with live music and a bottle of wine; refresh & beautify with The Dior Consultants. I hear there may even be a psychic or two for those who dare gaze into their future…
The iconic Garey Store & Deli on Foxen Canyon Road, whose proprietress Shawn makes the best tri-tip in these here parts, will be OPEN just for you! This is a big deal, folks. Those doors are locked tight every Sunday but not on Sunday, June 23!
Swag Bag.
We commissioned an exclusive lip balm from Foxen Canyon Soap Co., just for you. Really. Elizabeth met with Ellowyn and described how summers felt to her in the vineyard; how they envelop you at right angles to the point you feel the leaves straining to touch the sun and rejoicing when connect. It’s Energy, potential, life, past and the present.
Because Ellowyn is part faerie, she took Elizabeth’s words and transformed them into a hyper-local lip balm that’s a bright lemony yellow thanks to turmeric. This balm can only be found in your swag bag and is just our way of saying, “Hey, thanks for coming. It means a lot to us.” And just p.s. that’s not even the “big” give-away item in your bag.
Hotels.
Our partnering hotels are kindly offering special rates for stays between Thursday, June 20 through Tuesday, June 25 when you mention Summer Sipping when booking. Visit our ticketing site for more details.

Buy a Start & Stay ticket and pick up your passport and swag bag at the hotel concierge instead of a designated Check In Winery! You’re free to start your Summer Sipping weekend at any winery you want!
