I started in real estate in 1980. Every day in this profession is a surprise, and each person I meet and build a relationship with just adds more interest and diversity to the “job.” Change is constant and always exciting. This is a very fulfilling career that allows me to be the owner and CEO of my own business of helping others buy and sell what is usually their “most prized” possession: their home. I enjoyed 17 years on the mortgage side of this business. There’s something about working with numbers that is calming and makes me happy!
I have a son, two daughters, one grandson, and three granddaughters, and they are all the most amazing and talented people in the world! My dad is 91–still driving, living independently, in good health, and a great sense of humor. With only a fifth-grade education, he worked hard all his life to provide for his family. My dad became a very successful farmer due to his discipline, hard work, sacrifice, and commitment to a very grueling and demanding profession. He was able to abundantly provide for not only my mom, sister, and me but also joyfully provided cars and college educations for his four grandchildren. He’s a true champion and fierce and loyal defender of his loved ones.
My faith has made all the difference in my life and molded me into the person that I am. I want to be an example for my loved ones to know and understand the importance of allowing God be their guide for how to live an extraordinary life of blessing and giving to others. My motto is “Love God and one another.”
I like to take Lulu (my Schnauzer) to the beach. I enjoy reading a good book while listening to the waves and wiggling my toes in the sand. I also like to wander around antique stores looking for special treasures.
